Business and Investment Visa
Australian Business and investment visas are available through two pathways:
1. Business innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (Subclass 188)
This visa is a temporary provisional visa which allows the visa holders to own and manage a business in Australia, conduct business and investment activity in Australia or undertake an entrepreneurial activity in Australia. At the end of the provisional visa period, the visa holders are able to apply for the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (Subclass 888), subject to satisfying all the requirements.
This visa includes Five streams:
1.1 Business Innovation stream (Subclass 188A)
1.2 Investor stream (Subclass 188B)
1.3 Significant Investor stream (Subclass 188C)
1.4 Premium Investor stream (Subclass 188D)

1.5 Entrepreneur stream (Subclass 188E)
2. Business Talent (Permanent) visa (Subclass 132)
This visa is a permanent visa which allows the visa holders to establish a new business or develop an existing business in Australia.
This visa includes Two streams:
2.1 Significant Business History stream
2.2 Venture Capital Entrepreneur stream
Business Innovation stream (Subclass 188A)
This visa is for people with business management skills. It’s a temporary visa for up to 4 years and 3 months, with pathways to permanent residency. This visa allows you to establish, develop and manage a new or existing business in Australia and apply for the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (Subclass 888), after meeting all requirements. You can apply for a 2 years extension if you were not able to satisfy all of the visa requirements within the initial 4 years and 3 months. Overall, this visa allows you to live in Australia for 6 years and 3 months in order to operate a new or existing business in Australia.

Investor stream (Subclass 188B)
This visa is for people with business management skills. It’s a temporary visa for up to 4 years and 3 months, with a pathway to permanent residency. This visa requires you to invest AUD $1.5 million in an Australian state or territory and maintain business and investment activity in Australia. You can apply for Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (Subclass 888), after meeting all the requirements.
